How does migraine present?
Most commonly a migraine headache is unilateral (one sided) and is often a throbbing type of headache.
It can last anywhere from 4 to 72 hours.
Migraine headaches have associated Nausea, vomiting, light and sound sensitivity.
Other symptoms can include vertigo, light headedness, and dizziness with physical activity often increasing the intensity of the headache.
Migraines are generally classified as being with or without an Aura. This refers to sensations or symptoms a person feels prior to the onset.
It may include visual disturbance commonly reported as flashing lights, zagging lines, a streaky cross hatch of light across or at the sides of vision, and even spots in vision. Or auditory disturbance such as tinnitus or ringing in the ear.

This incorporates your doctor or specialist prescribing medications to help control the intensity, severity, and duration of the migraine.
While your physiotherapist works with you to address neck dysfunction and lifestyle habits that contribute to the migraine.
